Good Karma and learning I am a FireWood

08 Jul

So yesterday at work I got the worst migraine I’ve had in probably 8 months.  I’m not really sure why or what I did…..  I finished work at 8, baked the doors I had made at work and was in bed before 9 😦  Boo.

I kept working and talking to customers all through my day, even as the migraine got worse.  I even told myself I was going to celebrate how well I was handling the day by heading over to Marble after work.  No one was going to be home, why not?   I was not intentionally trying to reign in good karma, but somehow I had the best dollar day the store has had since last Balloon Fiesta!  By the time it was all over though there was no way I was heading to Marble unfortunately….

Here I am, back at work, smiling and trying to be helpful.  There is residual migraine and neck stiffness, but not anything like yesterday thank goodness.  Sleep always seems to help these.

I’ve been trying out the “Smile from your liver” idea from EatLovePray….  maybe it’s working!

I’m reading a book called Chinese Medicine for Maximum Immunity by Jason Elias and Katherine Ketcham.  Apparently I am not a water child the way I’ve always thought but rather a Wood Fire, which of course seeks out water to put out uncontrolled fires.  I can definitely see how this is true. I can never drink enough water.  I always feel like I’m dehydrated.

There’s nothing like learning ways to help yourself.  I’m going to try to add in a few things and take out a few things suggested in the book and see if they work for me.  I am up for trying anything that helps.

What do you think about Chinese Medicine techniques?
