Lantern Festival

29 Mar

Lantern Festival was pretty amazing.  Not what I was expecting, but still pretty damn amazing.  I was hoping for the floating lanterns, but that was not to be.  Apparently all of these various counties have different types of kick off for Lantern Festival.  I went to Yan-shui and the Beehive Festival at the southern tip of Taiwan.  The Floating Lantern Festival is up north.

And the main country showing just happened to be in Hsinchu, where I live.  Fourteen days long and amazing.  There were 3 firework shows every night all 2 weeks.  Light displays, and shaped lanterns were the main attraction.  Oh, and food.  Food is always a big deal here.

So on to the pictures….. I will just comment as they upload on here. I’m not going to be picky about order, though I probably should be.
