Not giving up.

20 May

Welllllllllll   That’s the second day I missed in this 30 day challenge. BUT, I’m gonna keep going.  I’m not giving up.  I was going to let it go and just complete the original 30 days, but the point is to do it 30 days in a row.

So here I start at day 1 again.  It’s good, I’m trying to make this a habit, so, it’s good to start fresh.  I’ll have a better habit going in.

Today I had to listen to Frozen’s “Let It Go” at least 10 times in about 3 hours.  I also had to sing it with my students multiple times.  By the last class I made them all act out the scenes.  Boy did they sing it then!!  Next week I’ll see if I can figure out how to get video that is compatible with the internet..

If any of you have the knowledge of how to do that, I have an Olympus Tough.  I have tried to put video on here and fb with no luck…..

I still haven’t seen the movie.  I have no idea where this song fits into the story, but I will say, it has a great message.

Don’t be afraid to be yourself.   Believe in yourself and let all the naysayers go.   Stand in the light as you are, be who you are, and let all the petty drama go.   Let your power shine from you.   Build your dreams.   Learn from your past, but don’t live in it.

43 days until I leave Taiwan….   Time is flying!

The message from “Let It Go” is so inspiring that I am going to share it with the PAPA 8th graders to whom I am writing a letter of encouragement for their journey into High School next year. I love sharing these positive thoughts from songs etc.

Awwww That’s sweet Valerie! I still remember Cori coming back and telling me about the letter in the school paper from you her graduating year. You are so good to those students! I really hope they appreciate all you do for them! I do.
