Starting off with a bang

02 Jan

New Year’s Eve was my last night in Turkey.
So we did it.
Robin, Alican, Mehmetcan, Wendi, Thomas, and I headed out.

First we went to the old town area and saw some fireworks, heard some music, danced a little, tried to send off a couple Chinese style lanterns (which of course I managed to kill them both), and then headed off to go dancing.

Holding my hand out the car window turns out = not a good idea.  Got my knuckles smashed pretty good, no broken bones, but definitely swelling and bruising.

Did that stop me from dancing, well yes, for about 10 min, and then, no! We danced and had a good time!

Morning brought homemade breakfast: coffee, eggs, toast and jam, bacon.  Yummy.

Then, the farewells…  I am working through so many different emotions right now, geez….

We’ll see what happens hey?

Morning brought breakfast for everyone made by Robin and Wendi.
