It seems that we have progressed by stunning reaches in every area since 25,000 BC. But we haven’t evolved much at all as a species, especially when it comes to the positive virtues of humankind that easily transcends the awful angst between the sexes. Loyalty, dignity, respect, selflessness, honor, integrity, courage, and other positive personal values that enable us to interact in a positive and nurturing way seem almost non-existent.

What makes this terrible dilemma worse is we have come to believe ourselves better than that. The shame starts there and the blame follows. We stop there, not willing to go far enough to resolve the root causes of this widespread and growing problem. Our inability to relate to each other in a positive way undermines the very foundation of our future on this angry blue planet. I would love to see actionable ways to bridge this widening gap. I wonder if it’s even possible.
